Broken PSP
So yeah....
Sony hardware really does sock proverbial aardvark cock.
I got my PSP September last year. Recently I've been playing the delight that is LocoRoco only to find that my R button suddenly stopped working.
Those of you who haven't played LocoRoco should know the main controls are the two shoulder buttons, leavening me unable to play the game. Relatively pissed because the bloody R button is attached my machine (unlike a PS2 controller say, which I could afford a replacement for) I phoned up Sony and explained my problem. They said they could help if I had a receipt.
So I look in the PSP box and hurray! A receipt from GAME. To my horror however, the thing is blank. Completely blank. It's like they used invisible ink to stop people returning products. The writing on the front just vanished.
Luckily they said the blank receipt was evidence enough and they’re going to send a "refurbished" unit out on Friday in exchange for my PSP. Basically refurbished is where they take all the working parts out of broken PSP's (must be a lot of them huh?) and shove them back together. The guy on the phone said it would be the same quality as a new PSP (which I highly doubt) but apparently I can swap for another refurbished unit if I don't like it.
So Sony's hardware might be crap as fuck, but at least there customer service works.
You get brownie points Mr Sony.
