This ladies and gentlemen, is why you take all news reported on blogs with a grain of salt. Joystiq, Destructoid, Siliconera, and EvilAvatar all reported on the "story" that Square was revamping its business model to focus on remakes and ports of old games (can we say retarded?), all from the "incredibly reliable source that everyone knows of and trusts" of PSU.

Turns out this story was made up. The idiots who run PSU read a hilariously fake story at parody website DailyGamingNews and gullible as they are, reported it as fact.

I was right to raise an eye brow at the news.

Sure ports, remakes and sequels practically are Square's business plan, but that doesn’t mean they won’t make new games. Wonderful World anyone?
