PS3 backwards compatability hits a new low

So, flicking through the extremely poor design of the Europian backwards compatibility website (have they NEVER heard of a search box?), I checked out how the games that mattered faired on the machine. Here is a run down.

FINAL FANTASY VII - Will not play on PLAYSTATION®3.
FINAL FANTASY VIII - Should play on PLAYSTATION®3 with some minor issues.
FINAL FANTASY IX - Should play on PLAYSTATION®3 with some minor issues.
FINAL FANTASY X - Should play on PLAYSTATION®3 with noticeable issues.
FINAL FANTASY X-2 - Should play on PLAYSTATION®3 with noticeable issues.
FINAL FANTASY XI - Will not play on PLAYSTATION®3.
FINAL FANTASY XII - Should play on PLAYSTATION®3 with some minor issues.

Final Fantasy XI isn't a big issue because, in case you hadn't noticed, it was never released here on PlayStation 2, but the fact that Final Fantasy VII doesn’t work appals and disgusts me. I haven't bothered to check the rest of the list, but how many more classic games wont work? And how often are Sony going to try and improve the backwards compatibility. If its anything like Microsofts effort on 360, things don't look good.

And what the hell are noticeable and minor issues? Are these still playable?
