Exploding penguins are go!
It's been a while since I posted a real post, so surprise, here’s one now!
Not a huge lot has really gone down lately. College is same old stuff. Going along fine.
I'm currently training for a karate competition on 25th November. It's a team competition, not something I've ever had luck in, so I'm not expecting big things.
This coming Wednesday is the open evening at UCH (University Center Hastings). Basically it’s an arm of Brighton University based here. They do run a course, which follows on from the National Diploma in Computing at both Hastings and Brighton, but it's the difference between having 130 people in a class at Brighton and 16 people in your class at Hastings. The one to one tuition means Hastings has typically better results. I'm not 100% sure if its the course for me yet, but I'm having a look anyway.
In gaming news, I found an absolutely awesome deal on Amazon. Dirge of Cerberus for £17.99. At that price, I don't frankly care if it's dog shit. I'm quite surprised marketing for the game hasn't started yet though. In fact, Square Europe seems to pretend it doesn’t exist. It almost seems like they want to release it quietly because of how bad it is.
Either way, it should arrive on either 17th or 18th, depending how good Amazon is. In other gaming stuff I need to put more time into Kingdom Hearts II and my sister just walked in having purchased Disgaea 2. Disgaea is an anime and game franchise I've heard of, but not took any interest in. Anyone got any thoughts on it before I try it out?
I'll finish of with this video sent to me by a friend. It shows the Kyokushinkai England team training for an upcoming competition (I'm not in the video). It's interesting though, and certainly shows you guys what the fighting side of karate is like. Enjoy.
EDIT: It was Jenny's 18th birthday party yesterday. I just want to say, bouncy castles are still awesome at this age. Yeah, we are all that immature. :P
